The Delta Process
The Internet has fundamentally changed how people expect to interact with software. Gone are the days of annual releases, user manuals, and installing from discs.
Today, users expect a dynamic, interactive experience, and building this experience for them requires not only using the latest frameworks and technology, but also adopting modern practices for software development.
At Delta, we believe in Agile. Our development process emphasizes tight feedback loops and a highly collaborative design and development process. This enables our clients to plan, change direction and priorities, have flexibility, and manage expectations effectively.
Agile development methodology provides frequent opportunities for our clients to evaluate and steer the direction of a project throughout the software development lifecycle. This is achieved by working in sprints. A sprint is a specific duration of time (typically 2-4 weeks) during which we focus on a set number of development tasks. At the beginning of each sprint, you get to decide which features from the backlog you want to schedule next, providing you with the freedom to easily change direction in the middle of a project.

Our History
1987: Company founded by Ms. Debin Benish. Debin worked from home providing training and consulting nationwide for people moving from typewriters to computers.
1991: Staff grows to 12 people.
1996: Delta Systems celebrates 10 years in business.
2002: Our PC and Network Support Department doubles in size.
2005: Steve Powell buys Delta Systems from Debin Benish. Delta also begins the Debin Benish Outstanding Businesswoman Award.
2006: Service offerings expand to include custom software development, web development, Windows network design, installation, and support.
2008: Development and creative partnerships now established with 14 companies in 6 states: TX, GA, CO, OH, MI, MO.
2009: Delta now hosts and/or monitors hundreds of websites in top-tier data centers across the country.
2010: Delta expands network support to now include managed services.
2013: Delta doubles their office space in South Columbia, MO.
2014: Delta Systems spins out Delta Commerce – a division to handle online retail businesses we’ve built or acquired.
2016: Delta celebrated 30 years in business with a ribbon cutting and big party! We even got matching T-Shirts. It was exciting. 
2017: Delta was awarded a Master Service Agreement from Mizzou for web development. We’re now one of only a few companies on the approved vendor list for this major university.
2019: Delta commits to being a fully remote company.
